Red Cross to host special CPR for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Worker Recertification Class

ARC will offer a special CPR for the Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Worker recertification training on Sat., Feb. 13, 9:00am. The course complies with the requirements of Basic Life Support training for professional rescuers and healthcare students and professionals and includes two-year CPR certifications and two-person CPR. An Oxygen Administration recertification will also be held at the end of the class if needed.

Fredericktown Elementary hosts Penny Parade to benefit Haiti relief efforts

Fredericktown elementary students, K-5, and preschoolers held a "Penny Parade" on Jan 15 to help with the Red Cross Haitian earthquake relief efforts. The effort resulted in a friendly "competition" between "Girls" and "Boys" to see how many of the approximately 100-pound buckets of pennies each group could collect. The winning team would then get to head to the front of the line for lunch, recess, etc...
